Liam Flaherty is a FDNY Captain and a 34-year veteran of the job. He has served as the company commander of Rescue Co. 2 for the past decade. Liam was previously assigned to Rescue Co. 2 and Ladder Co. 157 as a Lieutenant and Rescue Co. 4 and Ladder Co. 44 as a firefighter. Liam is an adjunct instructor at the FDNY’s Technical Rescue School and was instrumental in the development of the course curriculum for the Advanced Firefighter Victim Training for FDNY Special Operations Command. He has also served as a Rescue Team Leader on several deployments for the NY Task Force FEMA USAR team.
